L&L Construction Group is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team. As a leading provider of construction services in central North Carolina, we are looking for a financial expert with a strong background in the construction industry to help drive our company’s financial strategy and ensure the continued success of our projects.
MUST have construction industry experience.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement financial strategies that align with L&L Construction Group’s goals, focusing on managing budgets for our construction projects.
- Oversee the preparation and management of budgets, forecasts, and financial models, ensuring accuracy and alignment with our project requirements.
- Analyze financial performance, identify key trends, and provide actionable insights to support decision-making and business growth.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to inform strategic decisions and enhance project profitability.
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports, including monthly, quarterly, and annual updates, to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations specific to the construction industry, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Lead the annual budgeting process, ensuring it meets both company objectives and the demands of each project.
- Monitor budget performance and take corrective action when needed to keep projects on track and within budget.
- Implement and maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the accuracy of financial records.
- Lead, mentor, and develop our finance team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture across the group.
Job Requirements:
- MUST have construction industry experience
- CPA Required
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience in construction finance, including construction project accounting, job costing, and project budgeting.
- A track record of success in a senior financial management role, such as Finance Manager, Controller, or CFO.
- Expertise in financial principles, industry-specific regulations, and best practices in construction accounting.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and project teams.
- Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and adapt to the unique challenges of the construction industry.
- Willingness to travel locally to project sites as needed.
