Position Summary:
We are currently seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager with a focus in Recruiting to lead talent acquisition efforts and support HR functions across our growing organization. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing recruitment strategies, managing the hiring process, and ensuring we have the right people in place to meet our company’s needs. The ideal candidate is a proactive, results-driven HR professional with experience in the construction and related trades industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Talent Management: Focus on attracting, developing and retaining talent; including recruitment, onboarding, performance management and succession
- Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled workers, project managers, and administrative personnel
- Manage full-cycle recruiting, job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding
- Compliance: Ensure HR practices comply with relevant laws and regulations
- Policy creation, implementation and interpretation
- Compliance and reporting, with excellence and efficiency in record-keeping
- Active involvement with corporate insurance program and claims management
- Employee Relations: Address employee concerns; conduct investigations and ensure a positive and inclusive work environment
- Oversee employee benefits administration and wellness programs
- Implement employer branding initiatives to enhance L&L Construction Group’s reputation as a top employer
- Organizational Development and Safety: Facilitating change initiatives, implement training programs, and support organizational growth and development
- Regular mentoring and coaching to foster professional growth among all managers and employees
- Implement and manage performance review process at all levels
- Oversight of Company-wide Safety Program
- Collaboration on HR special projects as required
Qualifications:
- 7 plus years of HR and recruiting experience within a construction related industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Management, or related field
- Bilingual (English, Spanish) a must
- PHR/SPHR or SHRM CP/SCP certification highly preferred
- Experience working with applicant tracking systems (ATS) and HR software
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to recruitment
- Established ability to successfully build and sustain strong working relationships across a wide spectrum of internal and external partners
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills with a polished and professional presence
- Solid working knowledge of employment law and other compliance regulations
