L&L Construction Group seeks a mechanic helper at our headquarters facility in Morrisville, NC
Responsibilities
- Assist mechanics with various mechanical duties.
- Trouble shoot and repair company equipment.
- Reviews DVIRs/issues daily ensuring equipment is maintained in a safe operating condition.
- Create and maintain work orders on equipment repaired.
- Coordinate and schedule maintenance on equipment.
- Ensure parts are properly installed and correct parts are used.
- Become qualified to adjust, replace or repair brake systems according to Federal Motor Carrier Regulations requirements.
- Ability to weld.
- Maintain parts inventories.
- Maintain maintenance records on equipment serviced.
- Ensure work order tracking is referenced on DVIR after repairs are made.
- Test drive equipment.
- Respond to roadside service calls.
- Clean and maintain work area.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
- Lock Out Tag Out equipment as required during service or repairs.
- Demonstrate a courteous, polite and professional demeanor always.
- Perform duties in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned
